Ðekawɔwɔ
#H0Hackathon · Ho, Ghana

Ðekawɔwɔ

Your neighbor already answered. Now the system will too.

Ðekawɔwɔ is the sole invention of David Ametorwobla, born from a conversation with Bryan Chasko at the AWS Global Community Gatherings. When the #H0Hackathon arrived, they saw their moment. What you are looking at is a live demo — built for the judges, rooted in Ho, Ghana.

Judging Criteria
Technological Implementation

Real software craftsmanship. AWS Database (Aurora DSQL or DynamoDB) with deliberate data model. Vercel deployment beyond basics. Clean, purposeful, intentional.

Design

The interface serves the user journey. Accessibility, mobile-first, responsive, real design tokens not just defaults. Thoughtful choices, every pixel matters.

Impact & Real-World Applicability

This is for a real community — Volta Region, Ghana. Does it solve a genuine problem? Will people use it? How does it scale or hand off?

Originality

Novel idea, unique execution, or a fresh take on a known pattern. Ðekawɔwɔ breaks convention in how it models mutual aid across distance and language.

Three databases, each chosen by access pattern:
  • Aurora DSQL — social graph (friends, who helped whom, trust)
  • DynamoDB — write-hot feed (posted asks, gives, responses)
  • PostGIS — geometry (location queries, nearby settlements)
